
Directs and coordinates the writing and implementation of the Annual State WIC Plan of Operation and Administration.Provides consultation on policy development, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the statewide program in accordance with state and federal guidelines and regulations.Provides consultation to governmental, and community partners in order to improve and innovate services for women, infants, children and families in Oklahoma.Provides consultation and makes recommendations to program managers regarding the delivery of services at the local, regional and statewide levels.Evaluates any audit findings of local agencies and resolves discrepancies by recommending and implementing corrective actions.Reviews staffing patterns, federal and state audits, program activities and other information to evaluate program effectiveness.Coordinates the statewide financial management needs of the program and functions as the liaison between OSDH and USDA’s Southwest Regional Office in all matters relating to the WIC Program.Reviews relevant budgetary and statistical reports, analyzes findings and makes recommendations for program delivery adjustments.Actively directs and coordinates, collaborates and consults with program managers and staff in order to provide direction and guidance for statewide service delivery for the WIC Program.Maintains communication between the State WIC Office and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service Southwest Regional Office.This position reports to the Assistant Deputy Commissioner, Family Health Services and provides leadership to WIC Service, and other areas as assigned.
